Spears, 44, uploaded a number of dance videos in late February and early March, including one on Wednesday, March 4, to a “song that represents vulnerability.”
The singer wore a purple bodysuit in Wednesday’s video, along with a fingerless glove on one hand, black boots and stacks of rings as she moved to music in what appeared to be her dining room. Us Weekly confirmed Thursday, March 5, that Spears was booked for DUI late Wednesday evening. The pop star was booked at 3:02 a.m. Thursday and released within three hours.
Spears has a court hearing scheduled for May 4.
“This was an unfortunate and unprovoked incident,” said a spokesperson for Spears Us in a statement on Thursday. “Britney will take the appropriate action and comply with the law, and I hope this is the first step in the long overdue change in Britney’s life. I hope she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”

“His loved ones will come up with an overdue, necessary plan to stop him from succeeding to get well,” the representative added.
