New information was revealed about that Savannah Guthriemother of Nancy Guthriehe had planned before he disappeared in Tucson, Arizona.
Despite initial reports that the family was called about Nancy’s whereabouts when she failed to attend a local church service, it has emerged that Nancy met a group of friends in her neighborhood to watch church services.
“Like many of our digital believers, Nancy started participating in the services of the Good Shepherd during the violence and later continued to meet with friends to watch and pray,” Pastor. Michael Rudzena shared with People. Over the years, in person and on the Internet, Nancy gave us encouragement that made us see Bible readings and songs that are especially important to her faith.”
When Nancy didn’t show up for the scheduled viewing and couldn’t be found, her friends contacted family members.
Nancy was later reported missing around 12:03 pm on February 1. The night before, Savannah’s mother went to a family dinner via Uber around 5:32 pm and was dropped off by the family at her home at 9:48 pm.
Police said earlier Us Weekly that Savannah’s sister, Annie Guthrieit was the last person to see his mother before she was reported missing.

What Did Nancy Guthrie’s Church Do When She Was Missing?
On February 4, 2026, Good Shepherd hosted a candlelight vigil for Nancy Guthrie both in person probably.
TodayHoda Kotb was able to attend in person, while Jenna Bush Hager watched with almost all family members.
“[The vigil] it was great at Good Shepherd Church in New York City,” Bush Hager said during the episode of Today With Jenna & Sheinelle. “Thousands joined online, and people were there in person.
