The actress continued, “The last thing I wanted in my life was a lawsuit, but I brought this lawsuit because of the pervasive RETALIATION I faced, and I continued, privately and professionally asking for a safe place to work for myself and others.”
Lively added that she hopes the court’s decision will not stop others from speaking out. She also shared that while her situation may be labeled as “celebrity drama,” others outside the limelight who have endured similar issues can relate to her story.
“The physical pain from digital violence is real,” he wrote. “It’s abuse. And everywhere. Not just in the news, but in your communities and schools.”
Lively explained that digital violence “affects all of us,” including women and children.
“There is a lot of important work that has already been done to expose the systems, tactics and actors that are doing harm. The work to create more security is part of the case, but it will also continue after the end of this study. This is work that I am proud of,” he shared. “I wouldn’t be able to stand up if it wasn’t for the many who have gone before me – and the masses who still surround us all – creating laws, social changes, exciting conversations, meeting, working in private and in public, risking and sometimes losing everything for the safety of others in all places. Some we know their names, most of them we don’t. Thank you. Everyone.”
Lively added that she will “never stop doing” her part in the struggle to “expose programs and people who want to hurt, shame, silence and take revenge on victims.”
“I know it’s a blessing to be able to stand up, I won’t waste it, your support makes me continue,” he concluded.
Lively’s statement comes one day after Judge Lewis Liman dismissed 10 of the 13 claims the actor made against Baldoni in their ongoing legal battle.

Lively’s statement comes one day after Judge Lewis Liman dismissed 10 of the 13 claims the actor made against Baldoni in their ongoing legal battle. Lively’s legal team also issued a response to the statement from Baldoni’s lawyers.
