Ansel Elgort Confirms Welcomed First Child, Shares Photo Of Son

Ansel Elgort quietly welcomed her first child, a son, after spending some time out of sight.
“Being a father is exciting, stressful, everything and more,” Elgort, 31, captioned an Instagram post on Tuesday, February 10. “The present feels present and the future is bright.”
The actress hugged her son, who was wrapped in what appeared to be sheep’s wool, in a black and white photo shared alongside the birth announcement. Elgort did not reveal his son’s name.
“He wakes us up all night but I never feel strong during the day. “I wanted to keep it sacred, just for us, but now I want to share this story with you as it is the most exciting thing I have ever experienced. I hope it brings you happiness too.”
Elgort also shared a video of himself playing guitar in front of his son, who was being rocked by a baby carriage.
About one month before Elgort’s confirmation, several outlets obtained photos of Elgort walking in New York City with a child strapped to his chest. Source featured in People when the child belonged to Elgort.
Elgort has not been seen in recent years after being accused of sexual harassment, making rare appearances following the controversy. He recently starred in two seasons of the HBO series Tokyo Vicewhich started in 2022 to 2024.
In June 2020, a woman claimed through X that Elgort sexually assaulted her in 2014, one day after her 17th birthday. Elgort allegedly forced himself on the woman “instead of asking me if I wanted to stop having sex knowing it was the first time.” He said he did not tell anyone during the incident “because he said ‘it might ruin his job.’
“Years later I had PTSD, I’m having panic attacks, I’m going to therapy,” he continued. “I want to recover, I want other girls who have gone through the same situation as me, you are not alone. It is a lot for me to come here and tell my story, but I know it is necessary.”
Elgort addressed the allegations in a statement on social media.
“I was saddened to see social media posts about me spread in the last 24 hours,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, saying the nature of the suspect’s actions “is not what happened.”
“I have never and will never abuse anyone,” he added, explaining that they had a “short, legal and completely consensual relationship” in 2014.
“Unfortunately, I didn’t handle my breakup well, I stopped responding to him, which is an immature and cruel thing to do to someone. “I know that this past apology does not absolve me of my unacceptable behavior when I disappeared.”
His speech concluded: “When I look back on my attitude, I am disgusted and deeply ashamed of the way I acted, I am truly sorry.”
