‘Adolescence’ Leads Royal Television Society Awards Nominations

For youth the awards streak continues after the Netflix series scooped six nominations at the Royal Television Society Program Awards.
Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham’s knife crime drama has won Emmys and Golden Globes, and will now compete for awards in the UK at the RTS Awards on March 24.
For youth the six nominees include Graham for the Leading Actor — Male category and Owen Cooper for the Supporting Actor — Male award. Erin Doherty is also a Supporting Actress – Female.
The Netflix show is up for best limited series and one-off drama, while Thorne and Graham are among the nominees for Writer – Drama.
The BBC’s 47 nominations put it ahead of all other broadcasters and networks. Notable appointments include Celebrity Traitors with the best entertainment and reality series.
Kenton Allen, chairman of the RTS Program Awards and CEO of Big Talk Studios, said: “The RTS Program Awards celebrate the incredible depth of creative talent that defines the UK television industry.”
