A “repeatedly belligerent” coyote was caught and killed after it was caught on camera biting and trying to drag a four-year-old boy off his grandparents’ driveway in Southern California earlier this week.
Four-year-old Solomon suffered seven puncture wounds to his legs and stomach after the tiger bit him and tried to drag the little boy away in a heart-stopping video caught on surveillance camera.
“I just heard him screaming and then I turned and screamed because I saw a cobra on top of him,” said Solomon’s mother Sarina Donohoo told FOX 11 Los Angeles.

“He bit me,” said Solomon. “He tried to pull me.”
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife believes the animal may be responsible for more attacks than originally thought, according to a report by FOX 11 Los Angeles. The coyote may have been “repeated,” and the animal has been linked to two other victims who reported attacks on March 26 and March 30. According to FOX 11, genetic testing linked the coyote to a separate attack on a child on Feb. 11 near the primary school.
Wildlife authorities confirmed to FOX 11 that the coyote was “humanely euthanized” Thursday under “common law” for predatory animals.

“For a wild animal to come into your yard and try to take your grandchild, it’s like the worst thing in the world,” said Solomon’s grandmother and property owner Stephanie Fields.
This shocking incident happened early in the morning, before nine o’clock in the morning, when his mother was taking out the goods from her car.
“I was very scared because I know how bad it could have been,” said Sarina, recalling this horrific incident. “My first response was simply, I need to get rid of him.”

Coyotes have been spotted around the area, with one resident who runs a daycare center reporting that he now carries an air horn and a golf club to help keep the children safe from the predator. (FOX 11 Los Angeles)
Grandfather Stanley Fields shared that little Solomon is now undergoing treatment for a series of rabies.
““He was bitten three times, and now he’s going through the rabies protocol,” Stanley said. “He’s four years old, and I think it was a little thing for a little kid to go through.”
A neighbor who works at a nearby daycare told FOX 11 that he now carries an air horn and a golf club to protect himself in the area.
Authorities urged residents in the area to “remain vigilant” as officials confirm whether any more aggressive coyotes are still in the area, according to FOX 11.

Other recommendations for residents include supervising small children, especially outside, and using loud noises such as air horns to deter wildlife. Residents are also encouraged to secure any food waste and trash cans.
Authorities encourage witnesses to call the Carson Sheriff’s Station at 310-830-1123 to report coyote attacks or California Fish & Wildlife at 858-467-4257 to report coyote sightings.
