After Love Is Blind Members who get married are invisible, they have to get many things – like finances.
During season 3, Alexa again Brennon Lemieux beat in and out of the pods. Once they got over the blind date temptation, Alexa wanted the two to sign a prenuptial agreement before their wedding day.
“I want to do a prenup, too,” Alexa said in a season 3 interview with her soon-to-be spouse, noting that her goal is to never have to worry about finances.
Brennon took Alexa’s wishes lightly, joking that she “obviously has a lot of money” and has no problems agreeing to a contract.
“You want to write it? Put whatever you want in that contract and it’s fine. I’ll sign it,” he said. “My work is not my life. I want to be, like my children’s coach. … I want to be involved in their lives in everything, and like a family dinner. We sit down as a family whether we talk or not, but we always sit down. [together].”

Amber Pike and Matt Barnett (Season 1)
When Amber Pike and Matt Barnett got engaged, she revealed that she had huge student loan debt from her college course that she was working to pay off.
“I’m very happy to clarify that Matt is not paying my bill,” Amber said during the meeting. “I’ve already started, but I don’t want to confuse anything.”
Talking to Refining 29 after the release of the season in 2020, Amber explained about her financial plans.
“I was taking steps to create a new job for myself and I will check my certificates soon,” he told the media. “Because of all the arguments on social media that people have about their misconceptions about how I work, I’ll be keeping any further information to myself about that. This move would be a good thing for me and Barnett and I don’t want to risk jeopardizing that.”
At the time, Barnett confirmed that they had not signed a prenup.
Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton (Season 1)
Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton were also ahead in earnings and finances.
“Well, before we got married when we were filming this show, one of the things we talked about was money, debts and salaries,” he said. Brides in August 2020. “At the time, Cam was hard at work in artificial intelligence and I was a freelance artist, so, of course, our salaries were a little different at the time. But, I don’t feel like it’s something we should hide. We’re married. We work together a lot. Even if we do different jobs sometimes, we share a secret.”
They ended up setting up a joint bank account before their first anniversary, which they used to pay bills and other household expenses.
“The idea of a joint account was to create an account where we could pay our bills, mortgage, utilities, groceries, home improvement projects and everything we share together,” Cameron explained to the wedding magazine. “We felt it made sense to contribute to that equally and because we live together and work as a team, especially now because we do a lot of work together.”

Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen (Season 2)
After Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen returned to their normal life in Chicago, she was ready to buy a house together.
“We have to sit down and look at our finances because I don’t do anything that might not be wise,” he said. “Where I spend my money is food [and] more, maybe $2,000 or more [a month].”
Natalie, a professional, then told the salesperson that they needed to be “guided” in their financial and budgeting steps and was shocked to learn that Shayne “didn’t believe” in a 401K retirement account.
“I take a lot of risks with that kind of stuff,” Shayne explained. “I think that’s where we’re different. I like to take risks. We’re not just going to live a normal life, where we buy a house and put money into our 401K.”
According to Natalie, she would be “a little intimidated” by Shayne’s adventurous spirit if she wasn’t in a “good place financially” already.
They eventually broke up before their intended wedding day.
Alexa and Brennon Lemieux (Season 3)
Alexa and Brennon Lemieux actually didn’t end up signing a prenup when they got married.
“We never had it. I never asked for it,” she said a December 2022 Instagram Story Q&A. “It’s something that Brennon brought up and asked about getting someone to protect me. It’s just something I wasn’t interested in doing. It’s okay, it’s not something I personally wanted.”
After four years of marriage, Brennon filed for divorce in December 2025.
Stacey Snyder and Izzy Zapata (Season 5)
One of Stacey Snyder’s biggest concerns about her relationship with Izzy Zapata was that she had little credit. When he finally said “no” on their wedding day, just hours before, he tried to fix the situation.
“Obviously, realizing it was a concern, the day before the wedding, I got a financial advisor,” Izzy said on the October 2023 episode of the “Viall Files” podcast. “I was like,[This is] another obstacle, like, I’m going to fix it,’ and that’s what I tried to do.”
He added, “He even made this jacket with my last name on it, like, he was happy, and then that financial conversation came up and he felt like I blindsided him. … [what I told her]. I [said] I was debt free, my student loans were paid off [and] I told him I was on 1099 [tax form] because I switched and did insurance at the time, and he was like, ‘You’re on a 1099 instead of a W-2?’
According to Izzy, Stacy was allegedly concerned about the “lack of stability” of the 1099 – which professionals often use – since it does not include benefits.
“That threw me for a loop,” he explained at the time. “Like, mah, I didn’t see. … [I said that] the only bad thing is that i have bad credit [because] I got the cards when I was 18 or 19, I got them and my credit was bad.”

Before Taylor Krause and Garrett Josemans tied the knot, they signed a prenuptial agreement.
“It wasn’t shown on the show,” Taylor said in March 2025 TikTok video. “I just want people to think about prenup as you as a couple decide what your legal goals are rather than the government deciding because if you divorce. [and] you don’t have a prenup, the government decides what that is. “
He added, “I don’t think anyone plans to get divorced when they get married, and especially when you’re getting married in an unconventional way like on a reality show, being able to legally spell out the terms of your relationship is smart. That’s why Garrett and I did it; we’re very compatible.”
AD Smith and Clay Gravesande (Season 7)
When Clay Gravesand broke up with AD Smith on their wedding day, he blamed it on her not knowing the details of his finances. He later called it “reach” when he appeared in March 2024 on “Relations— with Kamie Crawford” a podcast.
“When I was tested [for Love Is Blind]I was like, ‘I want this,’ so I prepared this for you as an adult,” AD said during a podcast appearance.” “I’m a realtor too. If you know anything about real estate, you put in the hours [and] your own schedule, you do your own thing and, well, I worked at a nightclub that was owned by my ex. [Clay] knowing all this.”
In AD, he also told Clay that his money was “good” as he put it before joining the dating program, which included leaving his club gig.
“You set yourself to completely enter the test,” he emphasized. “I was well kept and I feel I shouldn’t explain that. …
Virginia Miller and Devin Buckley (Season 8)
After leaving the pods and returning to real life in Minnesota, Virginia Miller told Devin Buckley that she wanted a prenup before they got married.
“I think I would be more comfortable with separate accounts, even as a prenup,” said Virginia, who has aspirations of becoming an investment millionaire. “I think we can work out all the details.” Obviously, in a divorce, I feel like the worst thing happened [was] divorced. [The best-case] The situation is that people leave what they came with and find a way to separate the property before it becomes a thing. “
Devonta Anderson and Brittany Wicker (Season 10)
As Devonta Anderson admitted to his fiancee Brittany Wicker that he wasn’t sure about walking down the aisle, he also explained how finances contributed to his doubts.
“I know the sacrifices I’ve made to get to where I am. I don’t want to lose that or part of that or much of that,” he said in the first episode of season 10, which aired in February 2026. [me]when I feel good in my place.”
