Jennifer Lopez again Marc Anthony they were married for 10 years before they divorced.
Lopez and Anthony tied the knot in 2004, four years before welcoming twins Max and Emme in 2008. The two, however, ended up parting ways in 2014.
“We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have reached a peaceful end in all matters,” said the chiefs. Us Weekly in a joint statement. “It is a painful time for all involved, and we value the respect of our privacy at this time.”
Despite their divorce, the two singers worked to raise their children in peace. (Anthony also has five other children from other relationships.)

What Went Wrong
Marc Anthony commented in a September 2011 interview no Night call that his breakup with Jennifer Lopez was mutual.
“I’ll tell you it wasn’t anything exciting that happened,” Anthony said. “It was something that happened on both of our parts. So, you know, it wasn’t a shock. These things happen. It was a decision we made together. This is not a funeral. This is not a funeral.”
He went on to say, “These are two people who met and saw each other, I said it was unsustainable the way it was happening, and so it was.
While Anthony insists that he and Lopez will likely never reconcile, he will “always love” The Hustlers actor.
Putting Pen to Paper
Marc Anthony has responded to Jennifer Lopez recounting their stormy marriage and subsequent divorce in his 2014 memoir, True love.
“We got that close,” Anthony said in the February 2015 episode The Meredith Vieira Show, making sure you read a copy of this book beforehand. “We trust each other. I was proud of him. I know what is needed and I know him very well. I did everything in my power to support him.”
As for Anthony, she has chosen not to talk about their relationship in the years since their split.
“I think that’s a secret,” he said. “I never have, and I’m not sure I ever will … for society to be used as hard as it is.”
Moving Forward
In the April 2016 cover story of W Jennifer Lopez revealed when she realized that her marriage to Marc Anthony was over.
“I lived there for seven years,” Lopez told the outlet. I knew right away that it wasn’t the right thing.
He continued, “When my marriage ended, it wasn’t easy to find forgiveness. It wasn’t the dream I was expecting, and it would have been easy to fan the flames of resentment, disappointment and anger. Marc is the father of my children, and that will never go away. So, I have to work to fix things, and that’s the hardest job I do.”

They are Best Friends
“We’re like best friends,” Jennifer Lopez said Live with Kelly and Mark in March 2017. “We’re making an album now. Actually, you’re helping me make my Spanish album. At first I was like, we’re fine with the kids, but if we start working together, will we start getting to know each other again? But it’s been amazing. To be honest, I think it’s even helped our relationship and it’s made things even better.”
According to Lopez, her divorce also affected twins Max and Emme.
“We’re in a great place and the kids get to spend a lot of time together and see us work together,” she said. “It was good for them, it was good for us. It was good for the whole family.”
