Eagles announce ‘The Long Goodbye, Act III’ tour dates

The Eagles don’t wait long.

After a record-setting 58-concert run at Las Vegas’ Sphere, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have announced they will embark on a three-concert ‘The Long Goodbye, Act III’ Tour with special guest Tedeschi Trucks Band.

These gigs will take place on:

Truist Park
Atlanta, GA
Tuesday, May 5

FirstBank platform
Nashville, TN
Saturday, May 9

Globe Life Field
Arlington, TX
Saturday, May 16

It is not yet clear whether these three songs will officially be the last of Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Deacon Frey, Vince Gill and the rest of the legendary group. Earlier this month, Henley told CBS Morning News “I think this year it’s probably going to be… and I’m fine with that” in an extended interview.

Before this quick three-concert run, the “Hotel California” headliners are slated to headline eight more shows at the Sphere starting Feb. 27 to April 11 and lend their talents to the annual New Orleans Jazz Festival.

Based on what we found on Set List FM, the group usually performs around 20 songs per concert. That includes fan favorites like “Take It Easy,” “Life In The Fast Lane,” “Desperado,” “Witchy Woman” and, of course, “Hotel California.”

“The Eagles’ Long Goodbye tour might be the smallest rock ‘n’ roll farewell tour on the market right now. It might also be the best,” Ultimate Classic Rock raved about the band’s performance at Austin, TX’s Moody Center in February 2024.

“While many historic acts have relied heavily on spectacle to distract from their ineffective (or perhaps false) vocals, the Eagles continue to do what they’ve done best for more than 50 years: deliver their songs with flawless precision, providing a ‘two-hour vacation to madness,’ as Henley put it.”

If you’d like to see the classic rock legends live, tickets will be available for the newly added pre-sale arena dates beginning Tuesday, March 3 at 10 a.m. local time.

Tickets will officially go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster but are available now from trusted marketplace sites such as StubHub and Vivid Seats.

Eagles team members

If you are “putting on the limit” since 1971, there must be some shaking in your team.

However, after 50+ years together, 78-year-old founding member Don Henley (drums, vocals, also known as the ’80s smash “Boys of Summer”), continues to lead the group.

For all Sphere dates, he’s joined by 78-year-old Joe Walsh (who also fronted The James Gang), 78-year-old Timothy B. Schmit (bassist and singer who played with Poco), 22-time Grammy winner Vince Gill and Glenn Frey’s late son, 30, Deacon.

Past members of the band include Frey (who died in 2016) and Randy Meisner (who left this mortal coil in 2023). Bernie Leadon is still alive but has not played with the band since 2016. As for guitarist Don Felder, he recently toured with Styx and REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin, though The Post reported that he suffered a medical emergency at a show in 2025.

During the group’s half-century together, The Eagles received six Grammy Awards, performed more than 1,000 concerts, and sold more than 150 million albums.

Yes, it turns out that they really did “Take it to the Limit.”

Tedeschi Trucks Band

In addition to the three-game stint with the Eagles, the Tedeschi Trucks Band has shows across North America from March through October including ten (!) concerts at NYC’s Beacon Theater in March.
