Selling Sunset’s Emma Hernan, Blake Davis’ relationship timeline After the Drama
Emma Hernan he had to protect his relationship Blake Davis after they gave a glimpse into their dynamic Selling Sunset.
The personal life of a real estate agent was a big topic of discussion earlier Selling Sunset returned for season 9 in October 2025. Emma was previously sued by Nicole Young having a married man, which she denied in 2024. Meanwhile, Emma confirmed that she was in a serious relationship with an unknown man.
In season 9, Emma’s costar Chrisshell Stause she made it clear that she is not a fan of her friend’s boyfriend at the time. The tension was revealed during the season 9 reunion when Chrishell accused Blake of using racial slurs and funny pronouns.
“[You were affected] because of what I wrote or because of what he said and did?” Chrishell asked Emma in the November 2025 episode. “She told me proudly that she uses the N word. She thinks that if people sing songs but don’t say them, they’re too woke.”
Emma denied the claims about Blake, adding, “I don’t think Blake is very fair, but what was posted online wasn’t how he said it. He never said he was a LIGA. He never said his political views. He never said pronouns are stupid. I don’t agree with a lot of things he does, but he was trying to relate to Chrishell and he wanted people to like him.”
That same month, Emma was only told Us Weekly with great concern for outside opinions about Blake.
“I enjoyed the time I spent with him and I couldn’t keep worrying about what other people say or who they want me to be with.” In the end I have to follow my heart and even if I have to study hard, this is the person I choose to be with,” he explained. Everyone can say what they want – or love him or hate him. But in the end, my choice is who I end up being.”
Emma chose not to hide her romance with Blake after filming the reunion.
“A few girls said, ‘If that’s your man, you mean that’s your man, just be with him, no one can say who you can be with or not be with,’ she continued. “So I decided that I’m going to be open about this relationship and not be ashamed of my best friend who doesn’t love him. If it works, it works and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. But I don’t want to regret that I cared about what other people thought when I was enjoying my time with him.”
After ups and downs, the couple called it quits in February 2026.

September 2024
After production of season 8 wrapped, Chrishell predicted Emma’s boyfriend, who was no longer seen at the time.
“These filming dates didn’t make it to season 8 of #SellingSunset so I can post them now,” Chrishell wrote on Instagram in September 2024. “The scene where Emma revealed who she really WAS. This was so funny bc I didn’t like her. So maybe it’s for the best 😆😅.”
December 2024
Emma told later Us that he took a picture with Blake – only to be invisible.
“He went to record and put himself there, and they cut everything,” he said. “There are a few scenes where I have bite marks on my arm, and they try to play it off like they don’t know who it is. But we all know who it is. There are a few scenes that when you go back to the season and think about what they’ve done now, it’s so dirty.”
Emma continued: “I’ve been very private about my relationships my whole life. Even before the show, I’ve always been a private person when it comes to relationships. But the producers came to me and said they really wanted to see my love life and who I’m dating. I opened up about my life, and what happened was the complete opposite of what we filmed.”
Despite feeling devastated by Blake’s elimination in season 8, Emma explained why she wanted to film with him.
“[My boyfriend is] definitely reserved. But he was very supportive of anything I wanted. He made a film, and we looked at several buildings together on the screen. But in the end, he was very disappointed in what I did to me, and my family was like that,” he added about the season 8 cut footage. “He sent me a message before the show, so we’ve been friends for a long time, and then we met last December. He is very close to my family, so it was something that was missing from my previous relationships and something that I am lucky and grateful for this time.”
January 2025
Season 9 was filmed in January and February 2025, which showed Blake and Emma considering a future together before ending it.
July 2025
TMZ reported that Blake and Emma called it quits before he filmed a season 9 reunion special with the rest of the cast.
October 2025
Season 9 introduces Blake as he joins Chrishell, Emma and Chelsea Lazkani for lunch. Chrishell was not happy about the interaction when Blake said she had never tried a vegetable or fruit in her life – warning Emma that she would have to “be a mother”.
As the season progressed, Chrishell expressed more of her concerns as Emma contemplated getting engaged to Blake.
November 2025
While talking about the drama from season 9, Emma defended her connection with Blake.
“Who hasn’t fallen in love with a guy that your family or friends don’t agree with? I’m human and I have feelings. Unfortunately, I’m in a relationship with a very unpleasant person. There was a conversation that had to be had,” Emma explained to her costars. “He doesn’t always behave, that’s why I take a long distance.”
He continued: “There have been many times when I haven’t spoken to him for two to three months at a time – like, a ghost. At that point, I feel like I’m never going to speak to him again and they’ll know I’m with him. There’s a bond there. I’m not saying he’s someone I’m going to marry. But I’ve had three boyfriends and he’s the third.”
Emma also spoke to him Us about choosing to focus on the good – starting with his relationships.
“I would definitely go to the East Coast [with him]. He’ll have to ask me to do that,” he laughed. “He hasn’t [proposed yet]. I put my whole life into this season. I wanted the audience to just see who I am and be vulnerable and see the real relationship I was in. “
