In a recent interview on ‘No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen,’ former POTUS Barack Obama he didn’t hold back when discussing the social media controversy, indirectly referring to the viral video of the former President Donald Trump‘s Social Truth. He called the loss of shame and morality in society, saying, “And the truth is that there doesn’t seem to be any shame about this among people who used to feel that you had to have some kind of behavior and sense of propriety and respect for the office.” Additionally, Obama reflected on the contrast between the online chaos and the everyday kindness he still sees across the country.
He also shared these thoughts during a podcast interview, noting that while social media “clown show“chaos”you get attention” and it works as a distraction, it does not reflect the majority of Americans. While traveling in the US, he still meets people “I still believe in honor, respect, and rule,” Obama shared it.” In addition, he emphasized that even in the midst of the Internet madness, he and Michelle remain calm and strong.
