Carmen Electra shares love advice in her 50s

Carmen Electra shares what she believes is the key to lasting love.
While speaking with Fox News Digital at the 7th annual Steven Tyler Jam for Janie Grammy Awards viewing party, the 53-year-old actor reflected on how to keep the spark alive in a relationship.
“You definitely want to keep the spark alive, but you want to be with someone you love because that will definitely keep the spark alive, right?” The “Baywatch” alum said.
“So someone who loves their spirit, loves who they are as a person, someone who is not a down person. I love artists, like people who love art, whatever their art is, all those beautiful things.”
The “Scary Movie” star has been involved in a series of high-profile relationships. In the early 1990s, Electra dated Prince, who in turn helped launch her music career.
Prince discovered Electra, born Tara Leigh Patrick, in 1991 and signed her to his Paisley Park label.
The late music icon gave her the stage name Carmen Electra and oversaw the release of her self-titled debut album in 1993. The two dated for a while before breaking up but remained in harmony.
Electra later made headlines in the late 1990s for her whirlwind relationship and brief marriage to NBA star Dennis Rodman.
In 1998, the couple tied the knot in Las Vegas, but filed for an annulment after nine days of marriage. Electra and Rodman later reconciled briefly but finalized their divorce in April 1999.
In the early 2000s, Electra entered into her longest and most serious relationship with Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro. The two married in 2003 and chronicled their relationship on the MTV reality show “‘Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen + Dave.” However, they separated in July 2006, and their divorce was finalized in February 2007.
After that marriage ended, Electra began a relationship with singer Rob Patterson, and they announced their engagement in April 2008. The two remained engaged for several years but did not marry and separated in October 2012.
Over the years, Electra has been romantically linked to several other public figures, including Tommy Lee, Fred Durst, Colin Farrell, David Spade, Ryan Lochte and Simon Cowell.
In a recent interview with People magazine, Electra revealed that she is single but expressed interest in dating in 2026. While speaking to the outlet, Electra shared her dating dealbreaker and explained what she looks for in a potential partner.
“I don’t like lies,” said Electra. “It’s really nice when you’re with someone [who’s] just for you really. I’ve had that before. Obviously it didn’t last. But if you know what it’s like to really be with someone [who] it’s there for you, you can’t undo that feeling. You know, it’s just beautiful.
“[I want] a very loving person,” added the former “Singled Out” host. “I remember when I was in love with Dave [Navarro]I didn’t have love, and he taught me how to love, but now I know.”
In her interview with Fox News Digital, Electra shared her secret to feeling confident in her 50s.
“My confidence, wow, just comes from trying to be the best person I can be,” she said, “I’m a Taurus, so I’m stubborn, but I love life, I love food, I love people, I love love, and I’m very passionate. And I will always be. So, that will never end.”
Last month, Electra, who played bodyguard Lani McKenzie on the hit series “Baywatch” from 1997 to 1998, donned her iconic red swimsuit again for a slideshow of her Instagram photos. The actress is standing in one position while standing in a security position while holding a red Rescue Can.
While speaking with Fox News Digital, Electra explained what inspired her to wear the iconic swimsuit again.
“I wanted to wear this suit again and shoot,” he said. “2026 is going to be an amazing year, I think, hopefully. And I thought it was going to be fun. So, I just thought, ‘Let’s do it. Let’s put on a suit and take pictures.’
Electra, who reprized her role as Lani in the 2003 television movie “Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding,” also talked about whether she will appear in the upcoming “Baywatch” reboot, which was announced last September.
“I haven’t heard anything yet, but I’m definitely ready to talk,” he said.
Electra also teased her upcoming OnlyFans collaboration with another ’90s icon, Denise Richards. Richards joined OnlyFans in June 2022, shortly after daughter Sami Sheen launched her own account on the platform. Electra had removed its account from the subscription-based platform one month earlier.
At the time, Electra told People that joining OnlyFans was “like a no-brainer.”
“I just felt like, ‘Yeah, I need to do this,'” she said. “I, for once, have this opportunity to be my own boss and have my own creative vision that I can share with my fans without someone standing over me, telling me, ‘Don’t do this, don’t do that. Cover this.’
Last week, Electra also posted a behind-the-scenes clip of her collaboration with Richards, who noted in the video that the two have never worked together before.
“We’re doing this big Valentine’s Day collaboration together, and it’s been really fun,” Electra told Fox News Digital. “Denise, to be honest, is my lover, and we had fun together.
“We’re wearing sexy lingerie, so be sure to head over to OnlyFans and check us out!”
