Fetterman says the Democrats drifted to Communism after the Socialist victory

Sen. John Fetterman slams anti-American ‘dirtbag left’
Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., voices strong opposition to the ‘dirtbag left’ candidates emerging from recent New York primaries, particularly Darializa Avila Chevalier. Fetterman highlights Chevalier’s past anti-American and anti-Israel comments, including his ‘shaming’ statement about America. He criticizes their desire to abolish ICE, the police and prisons, questioning their fitness for office.

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., delivered a scathing rebuke of the Democratic Party’s progressive wing, saying the party is “going deep into communism” after conservative candidates scored a landslide victory in New York.
“It was a big night for the dirtbag left last night in New York City, without a doubt,” Fetterman told The Will Cain Show.
Fetterman said Wednesday that the Democratic Party is increasingly accepting candidates who are “anti-Israel,” “anti-American” and opposed to key institutions such as immigration enforcement and prisons.

He specifically pointed to Democratic Alliance socialist Darializa Avila Chevalier – one of three far-left candidates who defeated mainstream Democrats in New York on Tuesday – as an example.
“If you want to be elected as a Democrat now [you have to] he hates Israel and makes very strong anti-Israel statements,” he said.
“It’s a perfect correlation between if you’re going to hate Israel you’re going to be anti-Israel, and you’re going to be anti-American. And these kinds of ideas, they’re going to be anti-Western civilization…”

Fetterman’s concerns come as Democratic voters appear to favor candidates who continue to align with the party’s far-left wing.
Outside of New York, Democratic Socialist Nithya Raman has advanced to the November runoff, where she will face Democrat Karen Bass in the Los Angeles mayoral race. In Washington, DC, 38-year-old Democratic Socialist Janeese Lewis George defeated her more moderate opponent, McDuffie of Kenya, in a primary to replace Mayor Muriel Bowser. Progressive Abdul El-Sayed is leading in the majority of votes to replace Michigan Sen. Gary Peters, who may seek re-election, and progressive Graham Platner won the Democratic Senate primary in Maine.

Fetterman, who has refused to toe the party line on many issues, described himself as a “regular Democrat” who is proud to stand up for Israel and proud to be an American.
