The 2026 US Open begins this week at historic Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Long Island, NY Here’s everything you need to know to watch the US Open all week.
US Open preview: What it is and how to watch it
As we head into the 2026 US Open, two men’s majors are already competing this season. Rory McIlroy took his second Masters title, while Aaron Rai took his first major win at the PGA Championship. Now those two players and a large field of vetted pros will try to do what JJ Spaun did last year, lift the US Open trophy on America’s iconic course.
This will be the sixth time this course, ranked number 5 in the GOLF Top 100 Courses in the World list, has hosted a national tournament. But it will be the first time in decades that both Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are off the field.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, however, is putting it together this week, as he bids to complete a career Grand Slam with his first US Open victory this week.
So is two-time US Open winner Bryson DeChambeau, who looks to bounce back from cuts in the first two majors of the year with a historic third US Open title.
