TORONTO – CHIN Radio/TV is celebrating its 60th anniversary, celebrating six decades of pioneering multiculturalism and community outreach across Canada.

On June 6, 1966, CHIN Radio began broadcasting, ushering in a new era of multicultural broadcasting in Ontario and helping shape Canada’s identity as a diverse and inclusive nation. From its earliest days, CHIN has been an important voice for newcomers, providing a reliable media outlet for immigrants who come to Toronto from around the world in search of opportunity and a better future for their families.

For 60 years, CHIN has served as a cultural bridge, connecting generations of Canadians through language, music, stories, and shared stories.
