Lindsay Lohan Shares Rare Photo of 2-Year-Old Son Luai

I Freakier Friday star, 39, shared a rare photo of her 2-year-old son, Luai, via Instagram on Thursday, May 28, giving a glimpse into her life as a mother.

In the snap, Lohan is seen smiling at the camera as she hugs her little one. Luai, who has turned his face away from the camera, is shown kissing his mother’s cheek.

“Lucky mama 🀍☺️✨,” the actress captioned the post, tagging the husband Bader Shammaswelcome Luai with him in July 2023.

Lindsay’s mother, Dina Lohanshe commented on the post, “So beautiful hunny πŸ™we are blessed #Godsgifttomoms #Grandmoms #Deedee.”

Lindsay has previously spoken about protecting her son’s privacy after growing up in the spotlight. Until now, the The Parent Trap star did not show a picture of Luai’s face.

“It’s something my husband and I talk about all the time. ‘Do we want to show our son?'” she told the newspaper Times of London in August 2025. “We will know when the time may be, but it is also a safeguard.”

“I don’t ever want my family to experience being chased by the paparazzi the way I was. It was the scariest time in my life – I have extreme PTSD from those things,” he continued. “It’s a very invasive situation. It’s really scary. And I pray that things like that don’t happen again. It’s not safe. It’s not right.”

Lindsay and Shammas live in Dubai, where she feels it is easier to raise her child.

“Dubai is a safe place where we can have a normal life, without what I call ‘the noise.’ When my husband and I can see what is right for our child. It’s not about me anymore,” he said.

“Kids are innocent, clean, and learning everything for the first time – it’s great,” she continued. “And I want to remember those moments with my son, as I have never seen them before.”

Lindsay marked Luai’s 2nd birthday in July 2025 with a sweet Instagram gift for her son.

“Happy birthday to our sunshine, our sweetest boy, our heart, Luai! πŸ’› Watching weed has been the greatest joy of our lives. You light up every room (and keep us all on our toes πŸ˜…), and we are proud to be your mom and dad,” she wrote. “You’re the deepest love we’ve ever known, the wildest adventure, and the most beautiful purpose. You’ve given our lives new meaning, and we’re grateful every day.”
