The ‘power play’ set to get Tom Hardy fired from ‘MobLand’: ‘Job Suicide’

Tom Hardy’s “suicide” was allegedly caused by his constant procrastination.

“He refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time,” a source told The Hollywood Reporter of the “MobLand” actor’s filming on the Season 2 set.

“He kept the actors waiting, [which is] powerful game,” said the insider. “Keeping Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and others waiting is career suicide, I’d bet.”

The newspaper reported that it is not clear why Hardy was tied to his trailer.

Page Six reached out to a representative for Hardy, but he did not immediately respond.

Last week, it was reported that the “Peaky Blinders” alum, 48, was fired from the Paramount+ series after two seasons playing Harry Da Souza.

Sources told Variety that Hardy was let go from the show following “settling issues” with executive producer Jez Butterworth, 101 Studios and others.

Hardy was allegedly constantly late to production during Season 2, took frequent notes, changed dialogue and was upset with the cast, including Mirren and Brosnan, per Puck News.

A source told the Daily Mail that Hardy is accused of angering the “Queen” actress, 80, with her pre-arranged behavior.

“Tom’s character is lovely. He’s a calm person but it’s very different when the cameras are on. Dame Helen is a joy, she’s a consummate professional and she’s worked with a lot of people over the years,” said the insider.

A source says Mirren found the “Venom: The Last Dance” actress playing games on her phone when she should have been somewhere else on set.

“She’s getting more and more frustrated with Tom and his attitude,” the shop insider said. “He might be late to the recording again and that annoys Dame Helen, who is extremely professional and diligent. His tone is something Dame Helen doesn’t like, as well as his lateness.”

A source said the Oscar nominee was “fierce as a king” when contacted and “very arrogant.”

It has been reported that Hardy has had several conflicts with his co-stars over the years, including Charlize Theron, Shia LeBeouf and Patrick Stewart.
