Jamie Kennedy slams Trump’s late Mark Hamill as ‘evil’ after assassination attempt

Jamie Kennedy calls Mark Hamill’s “insane” speech against President Donald Trump.
In an episode of his podcast, “Hate To Break It To Ya,” the comedian spoke to the “Star Wars” actor about the recent social media blunder in which he posted a photo of Trump dead with the caption “If Only,” days after the assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) Dinner.
“That’s crazy. The brain rot is so over the top,” Kennedy said, adding, “This is nuts. Luke Skywalker lost it, man. He’s like the biggest voice in the world, and he’s promoting that. Like what’s wrong with you?”
“You can call this guy whatever you want, but he’s the elected leader, obviously he ran legitimately, and he won, and he’s the elected leader,” Kennedy continued. “That’s just crazy for him to do that. I said it’s just peanuts. You know that’s irresponsible? All the people are following you. You can write something nice saying you don’t like someone, but doing that? It’s bad.
Earlier this month, the “Star Wars” actor posted this photo on his BlueSky account with the caption, “He should live long enough to see his inevitable loss through the ages, answer for his unprecedented corruption, prosecution, conviction and humiliation for his countless crimes. Long enough to see that he will forever be disgraced in the history books.”
Hamill later deleted the post and apologized for the “inappropriate” photo.
“Precise Editing for Clarity: ‘He should live long enough to answer for his crimes.’ Actually, I wished him the opposite of death, but I’m sorry if you find the picture inappropriate,” he wrote in BlueSky.
The White House, through its Rapid Response 47 account on X, responded to the AI-generated images.
“Mark Hamill is one sick person,” the post said. “These lunatics on the Radical Left can’t help themselves. This kind of rhetoric is what inspired three assassination attempts on our President in the last two years.”
Hamill is often critical of the president.
He said during an interview in 2025 that he was “really ashamed” America elected Trump.
“It’s one thing for him to be over the top the first time — when he gets re-elected, that’s on us,” Hamill said on the “WTF with Marc Maron” podcast in September. “That’s it [what] I’m really ashamed — because I’ve always thought that there are more decent Americans, more honest Americans than others.”
Hamill said he was proven wrong in believing that there are more decent and honest Americans than “others” after Trump’s second win, adding that he now feels like a “minority” in his country.
