The New Mother star Ryan Edwards my wife, Amanda Connerbreaks his silence days after being arrested on suspicion of DUI and child abuse.
Conner, 35, took to social media on Wednesday, May 27, apologizing for his actions and admitting that he has returned to fitness after a three-year layoff.
“I went back. After three years of busting my ass and getting my life together, I went back. I think I just let my guard down and it happened,” Conner shared on TikTok while sitting down curling her hair. “I know addiction doesn’t matter how long you’ve been clean, how built up you are, it doesn’t matter how many people believe in you, it doesn’t matter.”
Conner noted that he wanted to start by “apologising” for disappointing the people who “believed” in him.
“You all gave me a hard ride and I appreciate the f**k out of that,” he said. “I’ve let you all down and I’ve let my family down, just saying that sounds familiar, it’s uncomfortable, it’s embarrassing, I’m disappointed, I feel guilty, I’m scared, I’m not perfect.
He added that although “life happens” and he “fell hard,” he knows that he is a “fighter” who will not allow it to be “his whole story.”
“I’m going to bring you all on my journey to recovery. And it’s not going to be fun, it’s not going to be pretty, it’s going to be real, it’s going to be raw and it’s going to be hard,” he continued. “But, like I said, I’m a fighter and I refuse to let going back define me or be my story.”
He then admitted that he is currently dealing with the “consequences” of his actions, something his fans will see for themselves in the coming months.

“It’s not going to be polished, it’s going to be true, it’s real and what happened in my life if you do something stupid again, there’s a consequence,” he said before concluding, “We’re not going to give up, we’re going to fight and we’re going to get back on track. So with that being said, we’re ready to meet with a lawyer.”
Conner’s video comes shortly after TMZ released audio on Sunday, May 24, of a husband calling police concerned that his wife was using drugs. The caller, whose name has been withheld, alleged that his wife would not take a drug test before driving off with their 15-month-old daughter, Presley.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office jail later confirmed that Conner was arrested and charged with aggravated assault/neglect for allegedly driving under the influence with a child in the car. He was also charged with allegedly driving on the side of the road. His bond was set at $16,000 and he was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim after his release.
Hours after his arrest, Edwards – who also shares son Bentley, 16, with ex Maci Bookout McKinneywith son Jagger, 10, and daughter Stella, 5, and ex MacKenzie Standifer – seems to have reacted to the incident, writing on Facebook, “I will NOT answer any questions. Please keep us in your prayers.”
The next day, Ashley’s Reality Roundup reported that Conners called authorities on Edwards, saying she wanted to pick up her belongings but her ex-spouse had an alleged history of “physical abuse.” When the police were dispatched to the area, no one had been arrested. The two were seen together outside the gas station, according to the outlet.
Conners’ hearing is currently scheduled for June 3.
