Content
The 2026 Winter Olympics are almost here! This year is the fourth time Italy has hosted the Winter Games (last held in Turin in 2006). There will be many fan favorite sports and even a completely new one joining the list – snow boarding. Here’s hoping it sparks another dangerous season as the new 2024 Summer Olympics.
Things officially kick off with the Opening Ceremony at the San Siro Stadium on Feb. 6 (although a few events will start before then). If you don’t want to miss a minute of the action, we’ve rounded up all the essential information you need to know to watch it live, including which streaming service you’ll need and how to get a contract for it.
Let’s go, Team USA!
How to watch the 2026 Olympics with or without cable
No cable? No problem. You’ll be able to catch all the action with a Peacock Premium or Premium Plus subscription.
A Peacock subscription gives you access to NBC’s complete coverage of the Winter Olympics, including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as live streaming of every single game, competition, and medal ceremony. You’ll also get access to live Olympics channels, replays, highlights, documentaries, and non-stop commentary. Basically, the Peacock is your one-stop shop for all things Olympic.
If you are watching the Olympic Games in the US, remember that Eastern time is six hours behind Milan and Cortina. Some broadcasts will be delayed until the original time, depending on the time zone. If you have cable, you’ll be able to watch live contests throughout the day, as well as enhanced late-night shows on NBC. USA Network and CNBC will also broadcast coverage of the Olympics.
A Peacock Premium subscription costs $10.99 per month with ads or $16.99 per month without ads. There are also a few ways to save money on subscriptions, so keep scrolling for the latest Peacock streaming deals.
