Milo Ventimiglia Talks About Being A New Father And Expecting Child 2

Milo Ventimiglia he’s going through a big year, including losing his house in a fire, and welcoming his first child with his wife Jarah Mariano just two weeks later and now, they are expecting their second child together.
Appears on Thursday, February 5 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!Ventimiglia, 48, joked that she couldn’t tell what day it was amid the chaos and that “they must be crazy” to go back with a second pregnancy.
“He has a beautiful daughter, very beautiful. Ventimiglia made a joke to host Kimmel, 58, as he shared details of how he was adjusting to fatherhood after welcoming daughter Ke’ala in January 2025. “Thursday, it’s great. It’s the same as Wednesday or Tuesday, yeah. They’re all the same. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday…”
After Kimmel asked if Ke’ala was keeping it This is us sleepless alum, Ventimiglia shared that while their daughter slept until the early hours of the morning, she and Mariano still worried about her.
“Actually he’s doing well, he sleeps through the night. He likes to wake up at 5.40 in the morning and talk to himself. My wife and I are lying in bed, like ‘Are you with him. [pacifer]?’ ‘I don’t know, I can’t tell from the monitor.’ ‘Have you eaten yourself?’ ‘I don’t know, I can’t separate from the monitor,’” he recalls, “And then you’re like, after a while, you know this. You go in there, you’re like, well, he didn’t take himself out, and you’re with him [pacifier]so that the world will be beautiful.”
Ventimiglia also admitted that while she originally had great plans to be an “amazing parent,” she was forced to backtrack and admit that the couple has had a “difficult and amazing year” after losing their Malibu home and becoming first-time parents at short notice.

But you know, I mean, if you’re a first-time parent, you think you’re going to be this amazing parent,” he explained.
He continued, “I’ve been working hard. I’m like, ‘Cool man, I’m going to be healthy, we’re going to feed this baby organic, we’re going to buy blenders, we’re going to do all this stuff, we’re going to argue with Kale about blueberries at the farmers market. And then after a while you’re like, ‘Oh, man, we’ve had quite a year.’
Ventimiglia was one of many celebrities and California residents who lost their homes when fires ravaged the area last year. Mariano was heavily pregnant at the time and during her Kimmel appearance, Ventimiglia touched on the experience.
“If anyone doesn’t know, we lost our home in a fire in Malibu at the top of the year. It’s okay, it happened, thank you. Two weeks later, I received the best blessing and our daughter was born. Six weeks later, on the way to making this movie that comes out this month, I Can Only Think 2. Actually on the road,’” he said.
Joking that fact thwarted his big parenting ambitions, Ventimiglia continued, “When you’re on the road you’re like, ‘Where’s my producer?’ It’s crazy. You don’t make organic food anymore.”
After Kimmel took over Gilmore Girls alum about how difficult it will be to be a father to two children, Ventimiglia also joked about being nervous about what’s on the way.
“You saw me swallow hard, didn’t I, I swallowed hard,” he commented. Now I know it’s coming, but at some point don’t they start having fun?
