It is possible Taylor SwiftA highly anticipated 13th studio album on the way?
Swift, 36, and boyfriend Travis Kelce went to a friend’s wedding on Saturday, May 16, when the pop star’s ensemble fueled speculation that a new record was imminent. Swift sparkled in a gold Maria Lucia Hohan gown, which she paired with opal drop earrings.
Eagle fans were quick to point out that Swift’s 13-stone baubles will match the number of her next album.
“There is NO WAY she’s wearing a 13 stone earring????!!!!!” i X the user wrote on Saturday night, stating that the choice was “fun teasing.”
Some fans think the 13 jewels are an update to the 12 stone ruby earrings Swift rocked. at the 2025 Grammy Awardsjust before announcing the 12th album A Showgirl’s Life in the same year. It is also possible that 13 refers to Swift’s favorite number.
“TS13 easter eggs can’t [because] is it 13 because it’s taylor swift or TS13????” another fan in a tweet.
Others, however, don’t think Swift’s jewelry is indicative of her future music at all.
“Taylor is going to a wedding, she’s not playing on Easter while she’s attending her fiance’s friend’s wedding,” another Swiftie wrote on X. “Use your brain.”
Swift has not publicly discussed any plans for the 13th album yet, although she has long denied that any of her secret leads are strategically located in her relationship.
“Something is wrong. I’m not going to plan an Easter egg that’s connected to my life,” said the Grammy winner. on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast in August 2025, explaining the art of planting Easter eggs. “It’s always going to be a reference to the music or something I’m bringing, a plan I have to put together. Something you don’t know I’m saying for a specific reason that you’ll hear later and go back and go, ‘Oh my god.’
Swift, who got engaged to Kelce that month after two years of dating, was released Showgirl the following October. There were plenty of love songs about Swift and Kelce’s romance and hopes for the future, including “Opalite” about a man-made version of the NFL star’s birthstone.
“The song ‘Opalite’ [where] that name is something I wrote down because I thought it was good,” said Swift when he spoke Throw a Show Girl Party qualifying in October 2025. “I’m back to it there [Max Martin, Shellback and I] they were writing this really catchy, hook-y song. Opalite is a man-made opal, so I’ve always loved opals [and] mother has always loved opals.”
He added, “I liked the metaphor, like, opal is man-made and you have to make your own happiness in your life. You had to go through hard times to get to the beautiful place you are now.”
