Taylor Frankie Paul Criticizes ‘Keyboard Warriors’ Amid New Drama

Taylor Frankie Paul has fired back at the “keyboard soldiers” during his latest spat Secret Lives of Mormon Wives the costar Mikayla Matthews.

“Today, I talked to a trauma specialist and my trainer and it’s reassuring to hear experts rather than keyboard warriors trying to tell me what to do,” Taylor, 31, wrote on her Instagram Story on Monday, May 11. “And seeing videos of other professionals talking about my situation from what they can see from afar.”

I Mormon wives The star shared a series of videos from content creators supporting her following her recent court battles with her ex Dakota Mortensen. (Taylor temporarily lost custody of her and Dakota’s son Ever, 2, after a domestic violence incident between the two in February. Utah police eventually declined to press charges.)

Taylor took the time to thank those who have stood by her through all the turmoil in her personal and professional life over the past few months. (In March, ABC canceled plans to air Taylor’s season The Bachelorette following news of domestic violence while production is on Mormon wives season 5 is on hold.)

“Just another big thank you to all of you for the amazing support,” she wrote on her Instagram Story later Monday. “Especially writers, therapists, doctors, experts, lawyers from all over the country, alongside neighbors, producers, family and friends.”

Taylor’s latest comments follow more drama between her and Mormon wives costar Mikayla, 26. On May 6, Mikayla responded to comments complaining that she wasn’t publicly supporting Taylor and Jesse Draper following their recent news.

Mikayla initially responded that her comment was “interesting,” then insisted that she was “tired” when a fan asked why she was addressing the issue. Another person suggested that she should focus on her marriage issues with her husband Jace Terry and his chronic illness.

“Gotta love the biased double standard 🙃 I’d really like to see how you can do it to be in the same situation as us,” Mikayla replied. “If you feel entitled to comment on our lives, don’t be surprised when we respond. I’m not one to change my opinions just to save face on the internet.”

He added to his thoughts on the Instagram Story by explaining that he “tried to stay removed” from the recent legal issues of Taylor and Dakota, 33.

“I feel sick to my stomach and feel bad for what everyone involved must be feeling and going through,” Mikayla wrote. “However, it is not my job to condone bad or dangerous behavior in any group, especially when children are involved.”

Mikayla stressed that she tried to support Taylor during past problems, but now she feels that “you can’t save someone who isn’t willing to participate in saving themselves.”

Taylor took issue with Mikayla’s portrayal of their feud, describing her costar as “an example of someone who waited for my downfall and not only watched it, but kicked me outright.”

“I rarely, if ever, cry out to him for help,” Taylor wrote. “I’m tired, but I didn’t know he was doing his own thing [health] things, and I didn’t want to make it worse. It is clear that he will not do the same. PS: he can find his way to the door if he doesn’t want to record with me. The next one.”

Mikayla later denied that she was “praying [Taylor’s] fall.” Taylor appeared to take aim at Mikayla again without naming her directly in a Mother’s Day post on Sunday, May 10.

“It’s Mother’s Day so I’m going to say whatever I want,” Taylor wrote on Instagram. “As if it’s not the worst time [sic] STILL the ‘friends’ who are kicking me while I’m still on the ground call me ‘setting a boundary’ and I’m not getting angry and responding. That is called a shame and an attack while I was still breathing and he knew it.”

Taylor also addressed reports that Mikayla allegedly had concerns about filming if Hulu resumes filming. Mormon wives season 5.

“What other questions did you have that worried you when you were filming with me… ‘Do you earn more than us?’ Keep up the ‘babysitting act,’” Taylor asked. “Everybody knows I’m good with my kids. I’ve missed more events, girls’ nights and opportunities to stay home with my kids than others can say.”

He went on to say, “I am a happy mother to all the mothers out there. Yes, I mumble… people calling me but I can’t answer? I will definitely NOT tolerate that again. Thank GOD for the people you sent to help me face my enemies so close.”

Taylor’s Mother’s Day post did nothing to settle the controversy, as Mikayla repeated her status on Instagram that day.

“Maybe I could write a book on everything I said this time.” Nothing I’ve said denies that you’ve experienced pain, trauma, or difficult things, there’s no doubt about that,” Matthews wrote. “Two things can be true. A person can hurt and hurt people around him.”

He added, “[My silence] it was about not wanting to participate openly or become accustomed to a cycle that affected everyone around it, especially where children and repeated violence were involved.”
