Chace Crawford reveals if he’s ever dated ‘Gossip Girl’ cast members: ‘There’s stuff going on’
“Gossip Girl” has spawned many real-life couples, but Chace Crawford was not one of them.
The 40-year-old actor has made it clear that he did not date his co-stars – including Blake Lively and Leighton Meester – but admitted that he had dated guest stars.
“Yes, there are things that happen or connections that happen,” Crawford said during an appearance on the “Armchair Expert” podcast that aired Monday.
But he added, “I have never dated anyone in this game.
Still, he “met people” through the CW show.
“There are many guest stars and people on the show that you can meet other friends,” he said. “And I remember it was a way to meet people.”
Past “Gossip Girl” stars in real life include Lively and Penn Badgley, who ran from 2007 to 2010, and Meester and Sebastian Stan, who ran from 2008 to 2010.
When Crawford starred in “Call Her Daddy” in June 2024, he said that the couple’s romance was “inevitable” given that they were in their 20s at the time and spent a lot of time together.
“Gossip Girl” ran for six seasons on The CW, from 2007 to 2012.
“People probably think it’s these fascinating scenes or whatever, like the worst part, watching 60 people. It’s time to relax,” he explained. “You do this show, you’re on set for 12 to 14 hours a day and there’s usually interesting people from all walks of life.”
Back in 2019, Crawford told Page Six that she was open to a “Gossip Girl” reunion.
“It would be difficult to get the whole team together,” he thought. It might be like ‘Friends,’ but I’d be willing to watch something!”
“The Boys” star actually reunited with Meester, 40, last month at Falconeri’s dinner celebrating the Ultrafine Cashmere collection in Los Angeles, the two smiling big as they hugged each other.
Crawford is now dating model Kelsey Merritt. 29, who have been paired with him since last year.
