Diggs Cleared Court as Trial Ends Emotionally
As previously reported, Stefon Diggs was visibly upset after being found not guilty in his assault and strangulation case involving former chef Jamila Adams. According to ESPN, on the second day of the trial (May 5), Adams returned to the stand and accused Diggs of offering him $100,000 to drop his claims, while earlier evidence revealed financial allegations during their relationship. Witnesses reportedly told the court that they saw no visible injuries in the days following the incident, and the defense attorney said the allegations stemmed from a disagreement over a trip to Miami, according to AP News. Ultimately, as the prosecution was unable to present what the prosecution called substantial evidence, Diggs was acquitted of all charges.
