Melissa Barrera Opens Up About The Comeback Singer

Melissa Barrera he didn’t hold back when he said how many Shout out The stars returned to film the latest installment after his controversial firing.
During the interview no Varietypublished on Wednesday, May 7, Barrera, 35, was asked if he thought his former drivers were “crossing the line” by returning to the franchise that abandoned him.
“Oh, one hundred percent,” he replied. “I think they all are. And they have to live with that.”
Barrera continued: “The only way they were able to make that film after what happened was to play it as comfortable as possible.”
Before the recording starts Shout out 7news broke in November 2023 that Barrera was fired following his support for Palestine. The production company behind the new Scream series, Spyglass Media Group, later denied that Barrera’s pro-Palestinian comments were the reason for his exit.
Barrera later broke his silence by not playing Sam Carpenter anymore.

“First I condemn Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. I condemn hatred and discrimination of any kind against any group of people,” he wrote on his Instagram story in November 2023, noting that he felt a “responsibility” to speak out. “As a Latina, a proud Mexicana, I feel the responsibility to have a platform that allows me the right to be heard, so I tried to use it to raise awareness about the issues I care about and give my voice to those who need help. Everyone in this world – regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference or socioeconomic equality, equal freedom, human rights, dignity.”
Jenna Ortega she also did not return to the role of Tara Carpenter. Director Christopher Landonwho was destined to succeed Tyler Gillett again Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, later he took it out again.
Kevin Williamsonwho was involved with the first Shout outafter which he returned to direct the horror franchise for the first time. Neve Campbell he returned after sitting out the sixth film due to failed salary negotiations with the studio. (Williamson wrote the first film and the sequel Shout out 2 again Shout out 4.)

Sidney Prescott is coming back!!!!” Campbell, 52, wrote on Instagram in March 2024. “It’s been a blast and an honor to play Sidney in the Scream movies. My appreciation for these movies and what they meant to me has never diminished. I’m so happy and proud to say that I’ve been asked, in a very respectful way, to bring back Wellth Ingase and I actually get to bring Sidney back to the screen!!! It’s possible.”
Campbell offered some insight into the creative team behind the seventh film, adding, “While I was incredibly fortunate to make these films with both horror master Wes Craven and the incredibly talented team of Matt and Tyler, I’ve dreamed for years how amazing it would be to make one of these movies with Kevin Williamson at the helm. And now Kevin Williamson was going to direct his 7-year-old! His brilliant mind dreamed up this world.”
He concluded: “Kevin is not only an inspiration as a musician but a dear friend for many years. To the amazing fans of Scream, I hope you are as excited as I am. See you on set @kevwilliamson.”
Scream 7, released in February, received mixed reviews from critics but was reportedly a success at the box office.
“I think they’re lying about the numbers,” Barrera told Variety. “I don’t think it made that much money. … People who like me in these movies come to watch [my new Broadway] show them, and they won’t be able to take that away from me.”
