Justin Baldoni is ‘delighted’ after settling nasty legal battle with Blake Lively

Justin Baldoni is happy after settling his “It Ends With Us” legal battle with his co-star Blake Lively.

“He’s very happy … with the results of this and the settlement itself,” the actor’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, told “Extra TV” in an interview released Wednesday.

Freedman stressed that Baldoni was “very happy with where this ended,” noting that his client was removed as a defendant in the case after a judge dismissed 10 of Lively’s 13 allegations, including sexual assault, defamation and conspiracy, last month.

“This is not his solution,” Freedman noted, explaining that Baldoni, 42, was already “out of the case” during the weekend negotiations. However, Baldoni’s company, Wayfarer Studios, was still involved.

“I think there was an urgency to try to do it as quickly as possible,” the lawyer continued. “I think Justin and other people feel comfortable [with] where they were at that time.”

Freedman said the case was “very different” after Lively’s allegations were dropped, which ultimately changed settlement negotiations.

Freedman said Baldoni views the settlement as “a logical conclusion to a case he has already come out of.”

Speaking about how the “Jane the Virgin” alum will move forward, the attorney said, “Justin wants to help people who have been through a similar situation where they feel they are being blamed for something they didn’t do.”

“And being a leader in helping other people in that way,” he added. “I know that [Baldoni] it will help people who have experienced the same trauma.”

According to Freedman, Baldoni will continue to be an “advocate for women’s rights and fight for the community that survived domestic violence, which unfortunately has been neglected in this ongoing war.”

A spokesperson for Lively, 38, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Freedman’s latest interview came shortly before Baldoni was photographed in Nashville.

Exclusive photos obtained by Page Six showed the actor – in his first public appearance since his deal with Lively was reached – smiling for the camera as he and his wife, Emily, left the restaurant hand-in-hand in matching baseball caps and easy-wash jeans.

On the other hand, the “Gossip Girl” actress, made her first public appearance after the drama “It Ends With Us” ended on Monday at the Met Gala.

Lively’s only three claims in her December 2024 lawsuit, including breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting retaliation, were due to go to trial on May 18.

Baldoni has always denied the allegations against him and initially filed a $400 million counter-suit against the actor in January 2025. However, the suit was dismissed in June 2025.

After Monday’s settlement, Lively and Baldoni’s teams released a joint statement obtained by Page Six.

“The final product – the film ‘It Ends With Us’ – is a source of pride for all of us who worked to bring it to life,” the statement read in part. “Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of survivors of domestic violence – and all survivors – is the mission behind it.”

According to TMZ, Baldoni and Lively did not receive any money from the deal, but their legal teams received $60 million.
