‘The Spy’ (2015)
Susan Cooper (McCarthy) works for the CIA, but her life is not so happy. That quickly changes when he is transferred from his desk job in Virginia to an assignment in Paris, where he must become the beautiful spy Rayna Boyanov (Rose Byrne), whose father may have a nuclear device. As Susan gains Rayna’s trust, she is unsure if Rayna is acting alone. Susan will need the help of veteran Rick Ford (Jason Statham), who disapproves of Susan’s unusual tricks. Can Susan find her woman and save the world from certain destruction?
Put on a vintage James Bond film, the original Austin Powers and a dash of Brides be a blender, and you’ll get something like this A spy. A spy it works as an action film as well as a comedy – the fight sequences are surprisingly legit, and the jokes are delivered regularly and expertly. McCarthy is brilliant as Susan, who lives the 007 dream she’s been dreaming of all her life, and Byrne gives a wonderful performance as the rich tycoon you can’t help but sympathize with. With actors that includes Jude Law, Allison Janney, Bobby Cannavale again 50 Cent (yes, 50 Cent), A spy it’s a very entertaining comedy that will leave you asking one question – why haven’t they made a sequel yet?

‘Hallow Road’ (2025)
It’s a parent’s worst nightmare – your child is in danger, and you’re not there to help them. maddie (Rosamund Pikeand Frank (Matthew Rhys) don’t let that stop them from trying, especially when their teenage daughter Alice calls them in the middle of the night. Alice admits that she hit a woman while driving, she doesn’t know what to do. As the terrified parents come to her for help, they discuss the events leading up to the accident and what they are willing to do to protect their daughter—including covering up her crime. Does being a good parent mean protecting your child no matter what, even if it involves murder?
The Hallow Road it’s intense fun set primarily in a couple’s car. That doesn’t sound very exciting, but the movie does the almost impossible – it’s suspenseful sitting with Maddie and Frank in the car and listening to their increasingly heated conversations. As it continues, The Hallow Road it gets incredibly weird. Without spoiling anything, I’ll just say that Alice may not be alone with the woman he chased. The end is deliberately unknown – was what we saw real or what we imagined? It’s up to you to decide for yourself, which makes the movie so much fun to watch.

‘Only Loved Ones Left Alive’ (2014)
Lovers in Only Lovers Left aptly named Eve (Swinton) and Adam (Tom Hiddleston). They’ve been separated over the years, but their time doesn’t matter – they’re vampires, and they’ve been around for centuries.
They rely on an uncontaminated and very limited supply of blood to keep them alive in the 21st century, which is why they are so worried when Eva’s wild child younger sister, Eva (Mia Wasikowska), enter their lives. His reckless behavior threatens not only to expose them, but also their existence. Eve and Adam thought they would live forever, but is there time on this mortal plane at the end?

Directed by an indie film auteur Jim Jarmusch, Only Lovers Left it’s more romantic than gruesome, although there is a gruesome death or two in the picture. Melancholic and wistful, the film takes the vampiric protagonists seriously but with love. As the immortal Adam and Eve, Hiddleston and Swinton are completely cast. With their pale skins and faded glamour, they suggest ancient lovers who have grown weary of the world around them but not of each other. Only Lovers Left it’s a love story for all grown-up kids who still listen The Smiths again Depeche Mode and dream of lovely men and dark ceremonies.
