‘XO, Kitty’ Season 3 Star Duo Talk Kitty & Min Ho’s Relationship Arc

SPOILER ALERT: This post contains spoilers for Season 3 of Netflix’s ‘XO, Kitty.’
The wait is over as Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) and Min Ho Moon (Sang Heon Lee) explore a romantic relationship in Season 3 of Netflix XO, Kitty.
It follows the hopeful cliffhanger ending of Season 2 of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before spinoff series, which involves Kitty asking to go with Min Ho on what would be a K-pop world tour, the two get mixed feelings in the first episode of Season 3, titled “Guest List.” However, they should not worry, for those who want to be together, because they share a cinematic kiss at the end.
“Because we knew the fans were really excited, we really cared about shooting those scenes and wanted to make sure it lived up to expectations and expectations, especially with the first episode,” Cathcart told Deadline. “We really cared about it and wanted to make it transparent [and] as special as possible. So I hope it translates, and I personally can’t wait to see all their reactions.”
Lee echoes Cathcart’s sentiments.
“We care about you a lot because we have led so far [point]so we just wanted to make it as magical as possible, the way the audience would expect it to be.” “Hopefully they will like it.”

Of course, real relationships don’t come without bumps in the road, and a complicated pregnancy scare tugs at Kitty and Min Ho’s heartstrings later this season, leading to them breaking up because they don’t see eye to eye on what’s going on.
“The breakup scene was honestly one of our most intense scenes that we’ve ever shot together, and one of the most intense, emotional scenes that our characters have experienced on the show in general,” says Cathcart, who calls it a favorite scene. “I remember that day was very intense for us as players.[ed] in both our world and find this and carefully manage this. ”
Eunice’s (Han-Bi Ryu) pregnancy scare combined with Jiwon’s (Hojo Shin) pregnancy test that she’s hoping for has created a big rift between Min Ho and Kitty when it’s not clearly revealed that Eunice slept with Dae (Minyeong Choi) and not Min Ho in Paris during her summer trip to Min Ho’s older brother’s inauguration. Min Ho doesn’t tell Kitty right away because Eunice asks him not to, and Kitty gets frustrated with that and the idea that he didn’t keep his word that he wouldn’t be with anyone when he and Kitty were separated during the trip.
“It’s been a while since I’ve had a fight with someone I’m really in love with, other than my sister [Gia Kim, who plays Yuri]. We get into a few conflicts here and there,” said Lee.” But about Min Ho, the part where he basically said, ‘You know what? I think that was the last one. It’s enough, I’m done,’ and he tells himself slowly that I can see that it’s nothing [that] I have done it. It’s about everything [Kitty]. [She] just [doesn’t] trust in me.’ You’re just tearing yourself apart, [and] it’s a little sad to see that moment in him.”

For Min Ho, the seller is that Kitty doesn’t trust him and thinks he could be the father of the child.
“It’s very painful for both characters, really. It was a really serious scene, but I think we did it right, didn’t you, Anna? And, as a person, in relation to her, I think I do that too, when I try to analyze the situation before reaching the conclusion,” Lee adds. “It’s not always the right ending, but I feel like that’s the part I can relate to. [him] very much.”
Cathcart similarly sympathizes with both sides.
“I understand both of their opinions. I think Kitty has never been afraid of losing something, so that has led to her being a lot more skeptical and insecure and overthinking everything, but at the same time, I can totally see why Min Ho is upset,” she said. “I think in my life, it would have hurt me the most to know that my person didn’t trust me and didn’t think the best of me, but expected the worst. I think that’s a real, painful moment. I totally felt for Mino at the time, but it was a really fun place to shoot.”
