NHL Injuries: Ducks, Sabres, Avs, Panthers, Canadiens, Devils, Penguins, and more

Joe Smith: Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon returned to the ice yesterday. He missed Saturday’s game. He has had stitches in his face since Thursday’s game.

Jameson Olive: Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson was on the ice during his morning skate.

Marco D’Amico: Montreal Canadiens defenseman Alexandre Carrier will be out two to four weeks with a lower-body injury.

Amanda Stein: New Jersey Devils forward Arseny Gritsyuk wasn’t ready to go last night, but he’s gone a lot more than they thought he would be, according to coach Sheldon Keefe. He has a day to day now.

Amanda Stein: Devils defenseman Brett Pesce (lower body) is skating, and has a finger problem that isn’t 100 percent yet. It is doubtful that he can return this season. Keefe: “It’s a matter of how much time is left in the season.”

Heather Engel: New York Islanders forward Simon Holmstrom missed last night’s game and the day after with an upper body injury.

Pens Inside the Scoop: Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin is back in the lineup after missing the past four games with an upper back injury.

Wes Crosby: Penguins forward Bryan Rust missed last night’s game with a lower body injury.

Max Miller: San Jose Sharks coach David Warsofsky thinks forward Ty Dellandrea will be ready to return at some point during the home game.

  • Curtis Pashelka: Dellandrea wasn’t eliminated tonight, but they may want to keep the team on a two-game winning streak.

Gerry Modejonge: Seattle Kraken forward Jaden Schwartz is back in the lineup after missing the last 10 games with an upper back injury.
