2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open fundraiser: Fee breakdown, winner’s share

Gary Woodland will be a fan favorite on Sunday at Memorial Park as he tries to seal his first victory since the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach.
Woodland will enter Sunday’s Texas Children’s Houston Open with a one-shot lead over Nicolai Hojgaard. Defending champion Min Woo Lee and Michael Thorbjornsen are tied for third but will start Sunday’s final round six shots behind Woodland and five behind Hojgaard.

Jason Day and Sam Stevens are tied for fifth at 11 under, seven shots back of Woodland.
Sunday’s final round at Memorial Park is set to be a duel between Woodland and Hojgaard, a couple of contenders hoping to post a number and take advantage of the Sunday meltdown, which has been common on the PGA Tour for the past month.
For Woodland, who has been battling PTSD since undergoing brain surgery in 2023, the key will be to stay calm and try to ride on fan support to achieve the milestone.
“There’s no doubt, and I appreciate that,” Woodland said Friday of the support of fans at Memorial Park. “This, like any week, I feel like I’ve had a lot of support. It feels like I’m playing at home. The fans have been amazing. I need that energy to get me through the day, that really helps. That’s something I hope I can ride into this weekend.”
After shooting a third-round 65, Woodland looked ahead to the final 18 holes and what might lie at the end of the road if he got the better of Hojgaard on Sunday.
“I have to take a deep breath,” Woodland said Saturday. “I’m going to have a good night tonight to recover and rest, and tomorrow you can just go ahead. I’m here, I’m putting myself in this situation for a reason, so take a deep breath and save what I’m doing.”
A win on Sunday would also bring home a $1.782 million winner’s check. The 2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open has a total purse of $9.9 million.
