Example: I recently read “Par-Tee” who is my child’s mother at my children’s school. The outfit was a country club, and miniature golf was one of the featured activities. I felt at home!
With the Masters looming, golf-themed hosting content kicks into high gear. The Masters is fully aware of its appeal in this regard, which is why its hosting services sell out quickly every year. I know what you’re probably thinking: I don’t have a pool. I don’t live in ocean weather right now. That’s right! Not only are these floats just as good at serving their purpose as real floats, but they can serve as fun centerpieces or focal points for your golf themed event. I recently picked up both a pool lounger float and a cool drink float for a spin and I thought it was fun.
Here’s what I liked about them.
Simple inflation
With two young children at home, this is not my first pool-float. We’ve had a number over the years, from simple ring-style tubes to the “lifeboat,” which has been a favorite for several seasons. However, that boat was very painful. Since seven separate (and small) air chambers had to be filled, it was slow, even with an electric pump.
FunBoy floats have no such problems. The chamber number is small, the nozzles are large and the electric air pump does the job quickly. I timed the process, and it was less than two minutes per float. That’s great!
A successful look
The green and white color scheme is perfect for golf clubs – and perfect for anything related to the Masters. But there are other color combos available, too. Both the large float and the floating cooler come with removable mesh sunshades with a fun fringe border, giving them a sophisticated, retro look.
Great power
If you use float as the original floating, as I do, is incredibly powerful. It is designed to fit two adults comfortably, I believe, because four children aged 2 to 10 were able to ride the float at the same time without being ejected. There’s also a cable tether included to keep the float in place, as well as two reinforced cup holders.
The float rubber feels very firm. My kids took it slow and we didn’t have any deflation issues. However, one thing to remember: If the ends float over and the sunshade gets wet, it will weigh on the base of the roof and have to move. We used the float in the evening, so the sun shade was not needed. But if you use the float as intended – to float – and not as a ninja obstacle course like my kids, this won’t be a problem!
Multiple uses
As the kids splashed around in the water, I decided to move the cooler to the poolside table and realized it worked well as a centerpiece for a really fun, especially sunny spot. Maximum capacity: 12 pack, plus ice. I didn’t pack the cooler with 12 drinks, but filled it with a 16-lb. a bag of ice
A large float, too, has a lot of potential as a party favor if you don’t want to put it in the water. I’m thinking of a pimento cheese flavored cheese… I mean, why not? A dream!
