“Burn Notice” star, Jeffrey Donovan, has no plans to return to Los Angeles.
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the 57-year-old actor talked about his move to Colorado after meeting his wife on one of his projects.
“I met my future wife when I finished work, she is from Colorado, and when I started visiting there I couldn’t stop,” he explained. “It’s an amazing setting and, I’m raising my kids there, and we’re never going to leave.”
Donovan met his wife, Michelle Woods, in 2011, and the two got married the following year in August 2012 in a small ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.

Since their marriage, the couple welcomed three children together: Claire, Lucas and Ethan. The actor and his wife are raising their children in Colorado, which he says is the true source of sunshine, not Florida – which he says should be called “the state of thunder.”
“Colorado, privately, is a sunshine state,” he said. “The best part of the country that gets more sunlight than that is probably Arizona and New Mexico. It’s amazing. That’s why we’re there. And it’s a really healthy life.”

The “Sicario” star revealed that although he grew up in Boston, most of his friends currently live in Los Angeles and are raising their children there.
Although she misses her friends, she says they all agree that raising children is “challenging,” and that for her, being in Colorado makes it less so.

The actor first gained national attention for his breakout role in “Burn Notice” in 2007. He played Michael Westen on the show, a blacklisted CIA operative who works to find out who was behind the fire notice and why, without any regular contacts or resources.
He played seven seasons in this show and even directed some episodes.
“I feel very lucky with this game, but I also know that at that time it was the most difficult job until today that I have ever had,” he told Build in November 2017. “It was difficult, but looking back if I didn’t take that job, and I wasn’t there, I wouldn’t have met my future wife and had my three beautiful children.”

When it came to portraying the marriage between Abraham and Sarah, Donovan said he “tried to be as realistic as possible,” adding that playing a long-married couple reinforced to him “that marriage is complicated.”
“It’s a challenge, and if you and your partner, whoever it is, can reach a certain agreement that we are there for a long time, that our children, if you were blessed enough to have children, are more important than you, and you put your eggs in the basket of going, ‘We are providers, we are their teachers, and they learn humanity when you leave your family, I will think and think about that. OK,” he said.
