Tiger Woods was released from a Florida jail hours after being arrested for DUI

STUART, Fla. – Tiger Woods was released from a Florida jail Friday night after hours of being held on DUI charges, sneaking out the back door in a failed attempt to avoid the media.
The 50-year-old legend was seen slumped in the front seat of a black Cadillac that drove him out of the Martin County jail nearly eight hours after he was taken into custody following an accident in his hometown of Jupiter Island.
Police say Woods was under the influence of “some type of drug or drug” when they searched his Land Rover when he tried to run around a flatbed truck around 2 p.m.
Woods, who has a long history with prescription drugs and car crashes, spent at least eight hours in jail as required by Florida law, but was allowed to leave through a back door away from waiting photographers despite police insisting he would receive no special treatment.
It is not clear whether the fallen athlete – who appeared depressed and glassy-eyed in the embarrassing photo – was released on bond or sentenced.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Woods’ most recent driving altercation happened about three miles from his Jupiter Island home.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said a utility truck pulling a small trailer northbound
Beach Road saw the fallen golfer’s Land Rover rear-ended at high speed on the narrow, two-lane road at 30 mph.
The driver of the truck tried to get out, but Woods lunged towards him and clipped the back of the truck, causing his SUV to overturn in the chaos, the official said.
Investigators don’t know how many turns Woods’ car made, but it apparently skidded to a “respectable spot” before stopping, according to the sheriff.
Authorities say the athlete appeared “exhausted” after being forced to crawl out of his overturned car from the passenger door. A roadside investigation was conducted and Woods was arrested.
“Mr. Woods exemplified the signs of corruption,” Budensiek said at a press conference
“At the Martin County Jail, even at the crime scene, we didn’t actually suspect that alcohol was involved in this case, and that proved to be true at the jail. So, Mr.
Woods, who was uninjured, also refused a urnalysis test.
Budensiek said the disgraced golfer was “cooperative” but “wasn’t trying to incriminate himself.”
Woods was charged with driving while intoxicated, vandalism, and refusing to take a legal test.
This is his second DUI conviction.
The athlete was infamously arrested in 2017 after he was found passed out behind the wheel of his racing car while consuming a cocktail of painkillers.
He pleaded guilty to reckless driving and served a year of probation.
