Bright and Beautiful Stars Talk About Murder

After presenting Bright and Beautiful about 40 years ago, the first actors John McCook again Katherine Kelly Lang don’t worry about being killed out of order.
“I never, ever thought they were going to kill me,” Lang, 64, shared exclusively. Us Weekly while we are there Bright and Beautiful BBTV launch event on Thursday, March 26. “I don’t think that will happen. But it might, you never know.”
Since the show first aired in 1987, Lang has played Brooke Logan on the long-running series. For all the twists and OMG moments, the actress said she still looks forward to going to work every day.
“I just love what I do,” he said Us. “I think that shows every year, and I hope so. And I still have the best time.”
McCook, 81, has played Eric Forrester for nearly four decades. When the actor was asked if he is afraid of the day when the writers kill him, he said that they did not succeed.
“They tried to kill me several times in the last five years,” he said Us. “It just doesn’t work.”
While McCook jokes that he appreciates “job security,” he plays it forward Bright and Beautiful it’s more than that.
“It was just [biggest] a blessing in our lives,” he shared Us. “It’s been great. I don’t know how many American actors – how many actors around the world – can say they’ve been getting paid for almost 40 years in the same job. Sometimes it’s a contradiction to be an actor playing the same role for all those years, but I’m done.”
Several actors past and present gathered in West Hollywood, California, to celebrate the launch of BBTVa new global streaming service for Bright and Beautiful.
For the first time, more than 9,000 episodes will be available in total, in one place. The platform will also feature behind-the-scenes videos, interviews with original cast members, show bloopers and more.
When asked to reflect on the past 39 years, Lang couldn’t believe everything the program had accomplished.
“I’m very grateful every year, every time I’m reminded that it’s another year,” she said. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 39 years because it’s been so much fun, like the best show to work on. I have the best boss, the best stories, the best character. I love my character, and I’m so, so grateful every day when I go to work.”
