A contestant shocks viewers after losing a tooth during a speech

The show must go on – even when your teeth fall out.

The queen contestant lost her chompers – but not her composure – during the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 premiere in Bangkok this week.

In the video, 18-year-old Kamolwan Chanago can be seen confidently introducing himself on stage – before delivering his words as his false teeth pop out of his mouth.

The event was broadcast live on GrandTV’s YouTube channel, leaving the contestant with no chance to cut and restart his speech.

Despite the molar malfunction, Chanago remained a technical icon.

In the video, the beauty turns briefly to the side to reset or remove her grill – then boldly moves her face and perfect teeth to the camera, walking on stage with her feathered skirt flowing and her embellished dress sparkling.

Chanago continued to work the room, circling the crowd and stopping before exiting the stage.

A spokesperson for Miss Grand International told PEOPLE that, “When she was presented on stage, Kamolwan Chanago had a small and unexpected incident where her teeth came out.

They went on to say, “He handled the situation skillfully and calmly, the event went smoothly without any interruption. We are proud of his confidence and his presence on stage throughout the competition.”

His recovery was met with applause, and this video has spread on social media with a group of people praising him praising Chanago for his silence.

“That level of composure under pressure deserves respect,” said one commentator.

“TF INNNN LOCKED,” and “That face card was killer” blasted others.

“He should win the competition by showing calmness in such a way that there might be an emergency if he swallowed them or tripped over them,” said another.

Some internet viewers took a more serious approach.

“I should have used Fixodent…..,” was the unsolicited recommendation, while one hater looked at the tragedy, “Miss Temu Teeth World,” and another deadpanned, “My mother always said, ‘Don’t talk when your mouth is full.’”

Some still debate whether Chanago was actually rocking (and rocking) veneers, partials, dentures, or a “flipper,” an attached dental appliance common among American pageant kids.

It remains to be seen whether this event will be glorious; the winner of Miss Grand Thailand will be named on Saturday, and whoever takes the title will go on to represent Thailand at Miss Grand International 2026 in India in October.
