Patrick Mahomes Sr. has been arrested on suspicion of violating probation

Patrick Mahomes’ father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., is back in jail after allegedly violating his probation by drinking alcohol, according to multiple reports. Mahomes Sr. He was booked into the Smith County Jail on Tuesday.
My father is currently serving five years of drunken driving probation in February 2024. Mahomes Sr. was arrested on Feb 3. 2024 in Tyler, Texas after being drawn with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.23.
He was sentenced to serve in September. If he fails his test, he could face up to 10 years in prison.

In police videos of the 2024 incident, they were found via TMZMahomes Sr. she pleaded with the officers while handcuffed and said her son’s name several times.
“Can I say one thing?” Mahomes Sr. he started. “My son is getting ready to play in the f—ing Super Bowl.”
Mahomes Sr. admitted that he had “drinked” before, citing concerns about how an arrest could hurt his son and the Chiefs as they prepare for the Super Bowl. “I’m not drunk, I promise. I’ve had a drink, but he can’t drink this right now. This can’t happen.”
Mahomes Sr. he went on to explain that the car he was driving at the time was a gift, and he would have the proper registration “in the next day or two.”

“We have never had a star here in this place, now we have got the chance to be a star, now we will have scandals,” he said. “We’re going to be embarrassed for no reason—because my registration at the time they gave me the car hadn’t come in yet, maybe in the next day or two.”
Both Patrick Mahomes Sr. and the Chiefs linebacker talked about the DWI incident in an episode of ESPN’s documentary, “The Kingdom.”
“It was during that Super Bowl. It became a story, so, I had to answer questions about it,” Mahomes II said in the clip. “I think just knowing that it hurts me made him know, you can’t keep doing the same things.”

Mahomes Sr. he said “the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.”
“I called [Mahomes II] right after that, I told him, I said, ‘I’m sorry it’s taking up your time and taking away from your focus,’” added the father.
