Ballerina Farm Pauses Raw Milk Sales After Virus Concerns

The facilitator Hannah Neeleman and the husband Daniel NeelemanBallerina Farm has reportedly stopped selling raw milk due to health concerns.
A report published by local Utah news outlet KPCW on Thursday, January 29, said health inspectors found two violations after milk tests were conducted in late May and early June 2025.
KPCW pointed to records from the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF), which reportedly noted that testing showed high levels of coliform in raw bottled milk. (Coliform is a family of bacteria that includes E. coli.)
The manager of the dairy program in the government told the newspaper that Ballerina Farm has decided to stop the sale of raw milk. A spokesperson for Ballerina Farm shared that raw milk was only sold at the company’s Kamas farm stand and that the brand currently only sells unpasteurized milk.
“Producing raw milk requires careful planning in terms of facilities and infrastructure,” said a spokesperson for Ballerina Farm in a statement sent to KPCW. “Unfortunately, we learned this after the fact.”
The outlet reported that Ballerina Farm noted that its current milk is better suited to pasteurized products and has plans to create a second milk in the future for raw milk products.
An information page on the UDAG website notes that consuming unpasteurized dairy products can lead to “significant health risks.” IE. coli, Salmonella and Listeria can be found in raw milk.
Hannah, who has more than 10.4 million followers on Instagram, has been open about consuming raw milk as she makes her living with the Ballerina Farm brand. (The company also sells sourdough starters, salt, protein shakes and more.)
In October 2024, the promoter shared with people that drinking the product helped him with beauty and good health.
“[My mom] it was like, ‘When you started drinking raw milk, your skin got so much better,'” says Hannah. “And I think there’s something to that.”
The mother of eight became an internet sensation as the “business lady” took over social media. Hannah, however, shared in July 2025 that she is “not targeting” the label. (The idea focuses on women who reject modern gender roles and return to the old definition of femininity.)
“Because we are traditional people in the sense that a man and a woman, we have children, but I feel that we are opening many paths that have not yet been prepared,” he told the Sunday Times newspaper in an interview at the time.
While Hannah is a stay-at-home mom, the former Julliard dancer noted that she has a well-paying job contributing to their family’s 328-acre farm in Utah.
“To have the label of a traditional woman,” she continued. “Honestly, I don’t know if I’m like that.”
When Daniel was asked if he was identified as the head of their household, he replied, “No. We are CEOs.” Hannah agreed with his sentiment, adding, “Yes.
