“I was flying [his son Oliver Hudson] to see his girlfriend, and we were close,” the actor revealed in a 2017 BBC interview. “I saw six lights on top of the airport in perfect uniform in the shape of a V. Oliver said to me — I was just looking at him, I was going in, maybe half a mile out — and Oliver said, ‘Pa, what are those lights?’
He continued, “I came out of my religion and said, ‘I don’t know what they are.’ He said, ‘Are we safe here?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I’ll call,’ and I reported.
Until two years passed when his partner, Goldie Hawnhe was watching a TV show on UFOs, that he connected the dots between his experience and the sighting of the Phoenix Lights.
