Elena then underwent a second operation on February 13 to remove the fat after doctors told her they believed too much fat was injected during the operation, which may have interfered with blood flow. However, it is said that her condition did not improve, and Jessica was sent to a local hospital.
According to these messages, the hospital was said to be full, which caused Elena to be sent to two other hospitals. The sister said in the documents that Elena racked up thousands of dollars in hospital bills, and it is alleged that her family had to sell their belongings to get help.

The center said the “patient” – possibly Elena – had undergone surgery elsewhere and sought “remedial” care from Cynosure.
“We accepted his care, operated on him and monitored his recovery with the due diligence that our customers deserve,” the statement continued. “However, about two weeks after the operation, the decision was reached to refer him for further care and in strict adherence to our standard clinical protocols, the patient was transferred to a leading teaching hospital for further evaluation and various care. This is what any responsible medical facility would do and it is not unusual.”
Cynosure added that the patient “was then transferred to another facility,” a decision that was made outside of their clinic.
“We sympathize with the family of the deceased and pray for the repose of his soul,” said the center.
The statement concluded, “We will not allow misinformation to define us. Our results, our records, and our customers speak for themselves.
