Kim Kardashian ignores PETA backlash by sharing photos of her 4 children’s puppies

Kim Kardashian showed off the four Pomeranian puppies she gave to each of her children for Christmas, despite PETA slamming her gift.
The founder of Skims posted two photos of a group of small dogs on his Instagram on Saturday, with all four puppies sitting next to each other.
“Welcome to the family,” he wrote.
Her famous friends gushed over the photos, including Vanessa Bryant, who commented, “Omg. They’re so cute! 🥰.”
But some comments slammed her, with one reading, “girl you don’t need 4 dogs.”
Another comment read, “I hope to see these dogs in 10-15 years with you ugh.”
Back in December when Kardashian revealed her controversial gift to her children, PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk called the decision “absurd.”
“Puppies are not plushies, and it’s a shame that Kim missed out on an opportunity to be a spokesperson for children in shelters and instead is being criticized on social media for it,” Newkirk told the Daily Mail.
“Ignoring the problem of homeless animals is never easy,” he added, urging Kardashian to “call PETA or your local shelter next time. [she] you want to bring the animal in [her] at home.”
Kardashian shares four children – North West, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Ndumiso, 6 – with her ex-husband, Kanye West.
She first shared a photo of the puppies on her Instagram Stories page, writing, “Each child got a puppy.”
It’s not the first time Kardashian, 45, has caused controversy about keeping dogs.
He drew outrage in December 2022 when he posted and deleted a TikTok video that appeared to show him two Pomeranians, Sushi and Sake, living in his garage.
She showed off a Christmas puppy arrangement – which included stockings and miniature Christmas trees – and the video also captured dogs running around the garage in little coats next to their large pen and pee pads.
The video was removed after an outpouring of anger.
“They have acres of land but they keep dogs in their garage smh,” read one of the comments on the video.
“Maybe bc it doesn’t equate to ‘beauty’ lol,” joked one user.
