‘Mindhunter’ (2017-2019)
In the late 1970s, Criminal Psychology and Criminal Prophecy were in their early stages, as the FBI tried to get inside the heads of serial killers to help solve the ongoing case. FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) and psychologist Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) operate the Behavioral Science Unit of the Training Division at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough for Netflix, which ended the series after only two seasons. However, the series (executive produced and partly directed by David Fincher) is among the best crime dramas, combining exceptional storytelling and deep character drama with a unique filmmaking style.
