‘Love and Basketball’ (2000)
Love & Basketball a film aptly named because Quincy McCall’s love (Omar Epps) and Monica Wright (Sanaa Lathan) had a game that brought them together in the first place. And it’s their shared love that may tear them apart when their sporting fortunes come from different directions.
Writer and director Gina Prince-Bythewood frames this film as a four-quarter basketball game. The first quarter tells the story of how Quincy and Monica met as children, while the remaining parts follow them through high school, college and professional sports. There is a strong bond of love between Quincy and Monica that develops over the years, but it may not be enough to keep them together as a couple.
Love & Basketball airs on HBO Max.
‘MacGruber’ (2010)
Saturday Night Live spinoff films are becoming an endangered genre in cinema, mainly because most of them cannot sustain their comic intensity for the length of the film. For a feature film, the latest Val Kilmer portrays MacGruber’s nemesis, Dieter Von Cunth. To defeat Dieter, MacGruber will need to assemble a new team. And when he finds out that the group was killed because of his negligence, MacGruber will have to settle for Vicki Gloria St. Elmo (Kristen Wiig) and Lieutenant Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) as the fate of the world is in their hands.

‘The Pope’s Exorcist’ (2023)
If you want a movie there Russell Crowe an actor who plays a priest who fights demons, the one who is called The Exorcist. The Pope’s Exorcist a completely different film starring Crowe as Father Gabriele Amortha rock star among exorcists because of his well-known relationship with the Pope. The film is loosely based on Amorth’s history, which we suspect is heavily embellished.
In his latest issue, Father Gabriel collaborated with a young priest, Father Esquibel (Daniel Zovatto), as they face a demon with a little boy named Henry Vasquez (Peter DeSouza-Feighoney). The demon’s reach extends to Henry’s sister,
Amy Vasquez (Laurel Marsden), and the investigation of two priests reveals some secrets that the Catholic Church may wish to remain hidden.
The Pope’s Exorcist will air on HBO Max on February 12.
