A 12-year-old girl died tragically Sunday after a violent fight broke out when a group of students got off a school bus in the Atlanta area.
Photos shared by the family, which have since gone viral on social media, captured the violent incident that took place on Thursday in Villa Rica. The victim in question was identified by her family as Jada West, who was reported to have been abused since she changed schools.
In the video, a group of youths can be seen arguing verbally before an argument escalates between two girls. During the fight, another girl was seen being hit on the ground, and a loud noise was heard in the pictures. Many children were also heard screaming when this incident happened, some were saying that they should fight and others were saying that they should stop.
When West appeared to be leaving after the fight, he reportedly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital, according to the family. West then collapsed and went into cardiac arrest in the days before his death, WSB-TV reported.

Jada West was a middle school student in Georgia.
It has been reported that West has been the victim of bullying since he was transferred to the school, Fox 5 said. It is not clear what started the fight, but the family said the fight started on the school campus and continued on the bus.
The relatives also asked why the other girl involved was allowed to enter the bus since she does not live in the same place, the newspaper reported.
The family added that they want justice in the West and they want accountability.
“It’s not right for this little girl and other kids to go to school,” West’s aunt told WSB-TV. “My nephew is gone. My nephew is in the hospital with a tube in his throat.”
